ROSAMUNDE PILCHER'S SUMMER SOLSTICE

SUMMER SOLSTICE is a sequel to Rosamunde Pilcher's worldwide, best-selling novel Winter Solstice. From the fertile imagination of John Goldsmith comes this companion piece about the further lives of the characters a year after their first appearcance. It also celebrates an enchanting return to the beautiful, wild landscapes of Scotland.

Much has happened since the various couples first come together. Elfrida and Oscar have taken up residence together and are dealing with the aftermath of the death of Oscar's wife and daughter. Meanwhile Carrie and Sam find their relationship coming under pressure when the seductive writer Alexia tries to bond with Sam and not only in a professional sense. As the different stories connect and interact with each other everyone is finally forced to show where their loyalties lie. And just how much they are willing to risk.

The mini-series stars Golden Globe winner Jacqueline Bisset (DANCING ON THE EDGE), Franco Nero (DJANGO UNCHAINED, LETTERS TO JULIET), Honor Blackman (CORONATION STREET, BRIDGET JONES), Jan Niklas (ANNE FRANK, ANASTASIA), Sinéad Cusack (EASTERN PROMISES, V FOR VENDETTA), Jason Durr (MIDSOMER MURDERS, HEARTBEAT) and Lara-Joy Körner (LOVE IN LION CITY).
